If I'm still fit to, I'll check back in a few hours. Willing to rip subs out separately, if there's a way, with separate software, if necessary. Would like to be able to toggle subtitles on or off.
Would like subtitles available, where provided. Evaluating unregistered version of WinX DVD Ripper. Would like to be able to rip DVDs (legally) to computer. I think that's clear but I'll recap in point form, in case I haven't been: (I'm a pensioner, due to those wonderful migraines.) So I'm looking for help on whether you can do that with WinX DVD Ripper, do it with something else in one of their packages, rip subs from the DVD so I can put them in the same folder and have them 'switchable' or however, with that program or some other, at low or no cost. As far as I've been able to figure out, in the fiddling around I did before the migraine hit and a bit of fiddling around this morning, it's not possible to get that with WinX DVD. However, I don't want to have no way of turning them off - sometimes they hide what you need to see on the screen so I tend to use them when I need them or wind back and go over a section again with subs on, if I miss something and things stop making sense. I'm hearing-impaired so subtitles are a boon to me. (Yes, I know migraines aren't supposed to last past about 72 hours but I'm not the only migraineur who goes beyond, so no, please don't panic and suggest I see a doctor - been there, done that, seen the neurosurgeon, had 2 MRIs, yes they found a brain.)Īnyway, the fact that the migraine hasn't quit is making thinking and understanding still very difficult (to the point that simple maths such as how many more to you need to add to 3 to get 4 can be a monumental task, sadly, that's not a joke) and I'm running out of time to decide whether I want just the Ripper or a package at low cost so any and all babying appreciated. How do I solve this issue, and if I should use different software, how do I easily do so (I'm a beginner and WinX is easy to use, so that is why I used it.That giveaway Eldon mentioned the other day ( ) is still running and I've been trying to figure out if it will do what I want but very hampered by a migraine that started somewhere round 4 days ago and hasn't decided to quit yet, which means I probably have another 24 hours to go minimum, though at the moment it's not quite so bothersome. I managed to get it to start working for a little bit, but I have no idea what to do. I have tried adjusting the write speed, checking my DVD burner, unplugging the DVD drive then plugging it back it, unplugging the power to my laptop and DVD player before shutting down my computer and slowly plugging them back in, and changing what discs I use. For the past few days, whenever I try to burn a VOB file to a DVD9, the program WinX DVD Author starts burning, but then it says that the burn process was wrong and ejects my discs, leaving them unusable. The VHS side of things has been working great, but I am running into problems with the DVD side of things.
So, I have been performing this project of converting all of my old VHS tapes to DVDs so that I could upgrade to a just DVD/possibly Blu-Ray or 4k Blu Ray supporting trailer.
